serves numerous container corridors for South India states like Tamil Nadu,
Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry. Chennai also houses the
automobile manufacturing giants in the country.
The
Terminal is connected to India’s railway network with its on-dock rail siding
facilities and is positioned to serve the growing rail traffic, which the
Government of India has been promoting. CITPL is also well connected by road to
the hinterland markets owing to its proximity to national highways NH4, NH5 and
NH45.
